Not at all! While bringing friends along is always a plus, you don’t need a partner to join. We rotate students during class so everyone gets a chance to dance. While we aim for an even ratio, absences may occasionally create slight imbalances, but it’s usually fairly even.

What should I wear to the classes?

Wear comfortable, smart-casual attire that allows easy movement. Avoid tight or long skirts, ties, long-sleeved shirts, or anything too warm or restrictive. Flat shoes or low heels with ankle straps are best for beginners. Avoid thongs, slippers, mules, or open-toe sandals.

Absolutely! We teach rhythm and coordination as part of the course, catering to different learning methods and speeds. We also recommend taking the course twice to solidify the fundamentals before moving to higher-level classes.

Once you purchase the package, we’ll contact you and add you to the class WhatsApp group. If the course has already started, you can sign up for the next month’s package.

This course is Level 1 and designed as a package. Pay-per-session options are available for Level 2 classes, though they might be challenging if it’s your first dance experience. Contact us, and we’ll help find the best option for you.

Yes! Groups of 8+ can book a private beginner course to dance exclusively together. You’ll learn the same beginner content but in a tailored, personalized setting. Private group classes can be scheduled at a time that suits you.

What happens after the 4 weeks?

We offer group classes for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Sabroso Academy will guide you from your first step to competition and teaching levels. We recommend repeating this course twice to master the fundamentals and set a strong foundation for your Salsa journey.

Are there opportunities to practice outside of class?

Yes! Salsa is a globally loved social dance, with social nights everywhere. In Leeds, join Revolution de Cuba on Tuesdays or Salsa Rocks on Wednesdays to dance, improve, and meet others. We’re also planning to host our own regular social nights soon!

What’s the class size, and will I get individual attention?

We cap classes at 20 students to ensure plenty of space and personal guidance for each participant.

What about class videos?

We take demo videos at the end of each class to help you practice at home. These videos are shared in the class WhatsApp group for you to keep forever. Occasionally, we also take videos during class for promotional purposes and as a keepsake for students to see their progress.
