CALLING ALL WOMEN MILITARY VETERANS! JOIN CHICAGO VETERANS & WARRIORS BEYOND WAR FRIDAY JUNE 6TH FOR A FREE 3-HOUR LATIN DANCE WORKSHOP

Express your individuality, add confidence, flair & personality to your dance and turn heads on the dance floor as you learn the art of Ladies Styling in Salsa & Bachata dance. This is not just a dance workshop; it’s a celebration of femininity and the joy of dance and self-expression.

This class is open to all levels, beginner and advanced, and focuses on feminine expression through bachata & salsa dance, with an emphasis on arm styling, footwork, body movement, and musicality. Whether you’re a beginner looking to explore the world of Latin dance or an experienced dancer seeking to refine your skills, this Salsa & Bachata Ladies Styling Workshop is designed to cater to all levels.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Body Movement & Technique: Drill essentials like hip rolls, chest isolations, and arm styling.
  • Musicality & Flow: Move with intention and connect your styling to the music.
  • Social Dance Ready: Apply everything you learn to enhance your partner dancing.
  • Expression & Confidence: Embrace your unique style and presence on the dance floor.
  • Developing Options: Exploring movement encourages finding different ways to perform a movement, rather than just focusing on a single "correct" way.

Led by:

The workshop will be led by Dance/Movement therapist & Warriors Beyond War dance instructor. She is a celebrated artist, choreographer, dance instructor and performer. In 2019 she directed and choreographed a dance for Warriors Beyond War's all women perfromance group. Maria uses movement, dance, and the body to help individuals connect with their emotions, process trauma, and improve overall well-being. She has instructed WBW students since 2018 and has provided the structure and space for people to truly listen to their bodies, explore sensuality through movement and truly harness the joy of dance. This practice isn’t about being a perfect dancer and it’s not just a way to fun. It’s learning that movement is life — our movements influence our thoughts, which influence our behavior, which makes us who we are.

Whether you're brand new to styling or looking to refine your artistry, you’ll be welcomed into a space that celebrates individuality, culture, and connection through dance.

Come comfortable and ready to move!
