New Mexico Press Women Announces Second Salon Series

Featuring Julia Goldberg of Source New Mexico

Event to Showcase Renowned New Mexico Authors on December 6, 2025 at Sky Cinemas, Santa Fe

SANTA FE, N.M. — New Mexico Press Women (NMPW) is proud to present the second event in its Salon Series, featuring award-winning journalist Julia Goldberg, senior investigative reporter with Source New Mexico. The gathering will take place Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Sky Cinemas in Santa Fe, bringing together journalists, authors, media professionals, and community members for an evening of conversation, connection, and literary celebration.

The program will spotlight six distinguished New Mexico authors whose work spans memoir, journalism, food writing, travel, and cultural history:

  • Katie Arnold, competitive ultra runner and author of Brief Flashings in the Phenomenal World
  • Carolyn Graham, travel and food writer and editor of Pasatiempo
  • Carmella Padilla, award-winning author and co-founder of the Santa Fe International Literary Festival
  • Gina Rae La Cerva, author of the New York Times Book Review Summer Reading Selection Feasting Wild
  • Emily Withnall, award-winning writer and editor of El Palacio magazine
  • Marin Sardy, author of the critically acclaimed memoir The Edge of Every Day: Sketches of Schizophrenia

Moderated by Julia Goldberg, the Salon will explore the creative and professional journeys of these writers while engaging the audience in timely discussion about journalism, storytelling, and the evolving role of the press in today’s rapidly shifting social and political climate.

“This series is an opportunity for writers, reporters, and community members to come together to network, exchange ideas, and reflect on how the press continues to shape public understanding,” said NMPW President Regina Griego “We are honored to bring these voices together in one room.”

The event continues NMPW’s mission to support professional development, foster dialogue across media disciplines, and elevate the work of New Mexico storytellers both emerging and established.
