Community Sprint Project Offerings

New for the Virtual Sprint, during registration you’ll be asked to select your project preferences in advance. This will help us prepare and get to work quickly when the Sprint begins on September 23. Here's the list of projects we've selected for the Sprint if you’d like to review in advance before registering.

NOTE: Your selections are not a commitment. We just want to get a sense of your interests and consider project capacity. If there is little enthusiasm for a project or a leader cannot be identified, we may move you to your 2nd or 3rd selection.

What's a Virtual Open Source Community Sprint?

Community Sprints are the meet-ups (either physically in-person or virtually) portion of the Open Source Commons Program. Open Source Commons is a community of mission-driven individuals working together to solve the world's most challenging problems. We do this by actively listening to each other, educating each other, and bringing our passion, experience, and technical know-how to projects that can be replicated and shared throughout the Salesforce ecosystem. We work to remove barriers to entry so that everyone can be a part of this vision.

How you define your role in the community is a good indicator of the types of activities you will ultimately contribute to during the Sprint. But don't quote us on that! At a Sprint anything can (and usually does) happen! For a look at past Sprint projects, many of which are still a work-in-progress, check out the Sprint GitHub Org.

Who attends Community Sprints?

Salesforce.org is committed to hosting a diverse and inclusive event. To that end, we employ inclusive marketing and outreach strategies to recruit diverse participants. We encourage Hub members to share this post and registration link within their networks to help with our recruitment efforts.

Those attending generally include System Admins, End Users, Developers, and Consulting/ISV Partners who have:

Comfortable experience using our open source products (NPSP, EDA, Program Management Module, Outbound Funds Module, Volunteers for Salesforce)
Customized Salesforce and our open source products (NPSP, EDA, Program Management Module, Outbound Funds Module, Volunteers for Salesforce)
A Power of Us Hub profile, and is comfortable sharing ideas, answering questions, and making suggestions in the community
A GitHub Account (don't worry, we'll show you how to use GitHub if you've never used it before)
A computer
