SAFY Foster Care Pre-Service Session 1: Orientation/Rules/Policies/Normalcy

Are you ready to begin your foster care pre-service training? Join SAFY of Cleveland for their Session 1 Orientation class on December 10th, 2025 at 6:00 PM and take the first step on an amazing journey!

Lead Foster Parent Recruiter Lisa will take you through the basic rules and policies, help connect you to the necessary forms and documents to start the process, and introduce you to foster care in this 3 hour session. Lisa has been a foster and adoptive parent for more than 5 years and has more than 15 years of child welfare experience and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experiences with prospective foster parents. You will leave the class with a start on your application, a training plan to finish your pre-service training, and knowledge of important rules and policies related to foster care in Ohio.

Please note: Class starts promptly at 6:00 PM, so be sure to show up early! Per state policy, there is a 15 minute grace period and no one can be admitted into the classroom after 6:15 PM.
