An in-person event exploring why safe spaces in sport matter, featuring personal stories and expert insights from expert speakers.

Join us on Thursday 12th February at the Timber lodge cafe, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20 1DY for Safer Spaces for Physical Activity in London, in-person event as part of London Safeguarding in Sport Week.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the event starting at 7:00 PM.

Free food and drink included.

Hear from our expert Safeguarding panelists and our guest speaker Ellie Downie, Olympic Gymnast, who will explore what it means to create and sustain safe spaces to play, exercise, and perform. From grassroots to elite sport, they’ll highlight how physical activity can only truly thrive when participants feel safe, respected, and supported.

This event invites everyone, from coaches and club leaders to NGB’s community members, to consider how to make safety and belonging the foundation of participation.
