We're so excited to invite you to our first in-person volunteer training in nearly 5 years!
Whether you're stepping into a role as a Host, Family Friend, or Coach, this required training is your opportunity to become equipped, informed, and one step closer to full approval. You'll connect with others on their SFFC journey, learn what it means to serve well, and have the chance to ask all your questions in a supportive, face-to-face environment.

Get a Head Start on Your Approval Process
If you'd like, you can complete your application, SACWIS background check, and FBI/BCI fingerprinting before the training. However, support will be available on-site if you prefer to complete some of these steps at the event.
Need help with SACWIS?We'll have staff available to assist you, but you’ll need to bring two forms of identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport, Social Security card, birth certificate, etc.).
Mobile Fingerprinting Option (Tentative)
We are working to provide on-site mobile fingerprinting so you can complete up to 80% of the volunteer approval process in one day.
- Final pricing is still being confirmed so we’ll update as soon as we have details.
- The cost (once confirmed) will be paid directly to the fingerprinting vendor.
- This service requires a minimum number of participants. Please indicate your interest during registration to help us plan.
A free off-site fingerprinting option will also be available at Hamilton County JFS if you prefer.
