Saami Brothers Qawwal
Saami Brothers Qawwal belongs to the best known Gharana of Qawwali, the Qawwal Bachon Ka Gharana of Delhi. Approximately 800 years old, this traditional group was started by Saamat Bin Ibrahim, the principal student of Hazrat Amir Khusrau. The Gharana has produced famous Ustads like the late Ustad Tanras Khan, court musician and tutor in classical music of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal Emperor.
The Saami Brothers started their training in their early years, training in classical music under the rigorous and critical tutelage by their three mentors: the late Ustad Munshi Raziuddin Khan, the late Ustad Nizamuudin Saami and Ustad Naseeruddin Saami.
The Saami Brothers have accomplished mastery over various genres of classical music, such as Dhrupad, Khayal, Tarana, Thumria and Dadra which they blend beautifully during their qawwali performances worldwide.
