Overview

Reimagining Intelligence, Empowering Humanity

Join Rights x Tech (RxT) for a deep‑dive conversation on the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence. As generative models become ever more capable, questions about their ethical implications, societal impact, and the distribution of power behind them grow increasingly urgent. This forum brings together researchers, developers, policy makers, and activists to unpack how AI shapes—and is shaped by—our values, institutions, and everyday lives.

At a time when AI systems influence everything from creative work to critical decision‑making, we’ll explore how to steer these technologies toward transparency, accountability, and shared benefit and ask: What would it take to navigate the promises and perils of AI in ways that advance transparency, accountability, and shared benefit rather than deepen inequity and control?

✨ Expect bold visioning, grounded analysis, and collaborative brainstorming aimed at building AI ecosystems that respect human dignity, protect fundamental rights, and empower diverse communities.

What to Expect

🔹 Model Mechanics & Transparency – demystifying how large‑scale models are trained, deployed, and evaluated, and discussing pathways to open‑source and auditability.

🔹 Ethics in Practice – confronting real‑world dilemmas such as bias mitigation, privacy preservation, and the moral responsibilities of AI creators.

🔹 Power Structures & Governance – examining who controls AI infrastructure, funding, and data pipelines, and envisioning governance frameworks that decentralize authority.

🔹 From Risk to Resilience – identifying concrete interventions—technical safeguards, policy levers, and community‑driven initiatives—that can mitigate harms while amplifying benefits.

🔹 Live Q&A & Collective Dialogue – an interactive session where participants pose questions, share experiences, and co‑create actionable roadmaps with our panel of experts.

Why Attend?

✔️ Gain a nuanced understanding of the trade‑offs inherent in cutting‑edge AI research.

✔️ Connect with interdisciplinary thinkers committed to responsible innovation.

✔️ Walk away with practical ideas you can apply in your own projects, organizations, or advocacy work.

Together, let’s navigate the complexities of AI models, ethics, and power—charting a course toward technology that serves humanity, not the other way around.
