A foul crime has been committed in the lands of your tribe! Cattle raiders stole a valuable herd of cattle, but also killed three of your fellow tribespeople while committing the heinous act. You all, your tribe’s bravest warriors, have been set to enact retribution for this crime and recover the stolen herd. But, echoes of the long past ring in the hilly badlands where the trail of the herd leads. Will you follow the trail where no tribespeople dare go and uncover the ancient mystery of the Broken Tower?
Glorantha is a world shaped not by mirrors of real-world economics & the accumulation of treasure, abstract allegiances, or a pastiche of Medieval & Renaissance Europe, but by mythology and the actions of your characters, your community, and your relationships with the gods. Glorantha is a world built on the power of myth in a magical universe, where the laws of physics are subordinate to the whims of the gods, spirits, and the Runes, the fundamental building blocks of this fantastic setting.
Here are some things you can expect to experience at the table:
* A presentation of the key aspects of Runequest’s rules through the story and action. Introduction to the themes and core motifs of the game - sword and sorcery fantasy in a mythic Bronze Age adventure setting.
* A character-themed adventure set in the fantastic world of Glorantha where the adventurers (player characters) investigate and seek retribution for a heinous crime while uncovering ancient mysteries in the land of Dragon Pass.
* You'll learn the essential game rules, but more importantly, the goal is to create an immersive collaborative storytelling event with the overarching goal of Maximum Game Fun. Let's have some fun, do heroic deeds, and tell a story together!
