Welcome to the 12th Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger -- a Thanksgiving Morning tradition supporting the Emergency Food Bank!
The Michael David Family Foundation Run & Walk Against Hunger is a 5K run/walk, a 10K (run only) and a Kid's 1/4 mile run. It's an annual event for the whole family! The flat, fast out and back course takes participants through Stockton's Weber Point and Waterfront area. Walkers have their own scenic course along the waterfront. Strollers and wheel chairs are welcome, however, please start behind the runners to help avoid a possible collision.
All participants receive an official Michael David Family Foundation Run & Walk Against Hunger long-sleeved cotton shirt ($5 extra charge for XXL) and have the option to upgrade to a technical long-sleeved shirt for an additional $10. (Tech shirt upgrade orders must be placed by Nov. 10, 2016.) Participants also receive a goodie bag that with vouchers to local sporting events, including the Stockton Heat! Run and Walk Against Hunger photos will also be available free of charge on race day, and online after the event at Captivating Sports.
Get a discounted rate on your registration by registering early starting August 5th thru October 31st. Regular registration starts November 1st thru November 18th. Registration will be available at Fleet Feet Stockton from Nov. 21 - Nov. 23, and on the morning of the race. If you're heading out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday, register as a Virtual Runner and bring the tradition with you!
Packet pick-up and on-site registration will be available for 3 days (Nov. 21, 22 and 23) at Fleet Feet Stockton from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. If you bring two non-perishable food items to donate to the Emergency Food Bank, you will receive a 15% discount on that entire day's purchase at Fleet Feet Stockton!
Bring a canned food item donate non-perishable food items at the ballpark on race day. Drop off your donations in the bins located next to the Run & Walk Against Hunger Turkey! All donated food items go directly to the Emergency Food Bank to help fight hunger locally.
What time is the event?
Race day registration starts at 6:30am until 8:25am. The Kids 1/4 Mile starts at 8:00am. The 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run both start at 8:30am.
What are my parking options at the event?
Parking is free at the large parking lot located to the west of the ballpark off Harrison Street, south of Fremont. Please do not park in the lot in front of the ballpark.

There will be no refunds. The event goes on rain or shine and the forecast looks great!

Emergency Food Bank - Stockton/San Joaquin
The Emergency Food Bank, founded in 1968, is the largest direct provider of packaged emergency food in San Joaquin County. An average of 275 families & individuals visit the Emergency Food Bank each day for food assistance. Almost six million pounds of food is distributed each year through the EFB Main Pantry, Mobile Farmer's Market sites, and Partner Pantries throughout San Joaquin County without charge. The Emergency Food Bank also provides classes in nuitrition education, healthy meal planning, and food preparation.
