PrudeDark Waters2 Samuel 22:12 (KJV) 12 And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies. The pavilions of God are the booths or tabernacles of secrets and mysteries. The pavilions are also a place of protection for his people. Darkness speaks of the incomprehensible protection of God. The Hebrew word for “waters” here is the word (Mayim), which means waters, watercourses, or water. Waterflood. Water is a type of the Holy Spirit. This passage refers to revelation. A dark revelation, we see in another place in Scripture, where the Holy Spirit speaks of the dropping of water as a form of revelation.Deuteronomy 32:2 (KJV) 2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: A dark revelation refers to things that are being poured out from heaven, which are beyond our comprehension. There are moves and acts of God that are being poured out in the heavenlies daily that we can’t see or understand. We, as humans, have minimal perception. We are surrounded daily by various spiritual activities that we are unaware of. Daily, there are rains in the heavens that are hitting the earth that are not seen or even understood. They are the dark waters from the throne and the realm of Glory. Remember, Glory can manifest as a cloud, sometimes even a dark cloud. From the dark clouds come revelation and divine visitation. The dark waters or rains causes other dark things in the earth and heaven, to begin to bud and come forth. This is one of the reasons that we speak in tongues, tongues is the language of darkness, the scriptures make this very plain to us.1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. When we are speaking. or praying in tongues we speak into the darkness. We make the dark waters to flow and make the dark clouds to release glory. There is no vocabulary on earth for certain things. Paul makes this clear to us.2 Corinthians 12:4 (KJV)4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. The word lawful in Greek means not to exist . This is dark rain . Paul is saying that there are things that exist but don’t exist at the same time.
