A two day, beginner friendly course, on the basics of using a cut pile tufting gun taught by Isabella Carapella. Students will learn how to set up their frame, thread the gun, maneuver the stitching and other handy tips and tricks while making their own 24” x 24” rug.
All equipment and materials will be provided by the instructor. When signing up for the course, students will provide a jpg of their own three color design or choose from a display of premade designs.
Day one students will learn how to set up a tabletop frame, thread the gun, maneuver the stitching and apply glue in 4-5 hours. Day two students will learn how to apply backing, sculpt and shave their rug to take home in about 2 hours. Students will take home their finished rugs, a step-by-step guide outlining what was taught in the class, and access to Zing’s slack channel where they can connect and share with other students from the course. Classes limited to 4 students so instructors can easily provide 1:1 instruction.
There are add on options to take home your own tufting gun or tufting kit after the class. **I will need at least 2 weeks to fulfill this order, so please keep that in mind when adding this option.**
