Ruck 22 Race for Veterans

Come join us at Yoctangee Park for the Ruck 22 Race for Veterans! Lace up your shoes and grab your rucksack for this in-person event. Walk, run, or ruck 22 kilometers in honor of our veterans. Let's show our support and solidarity for those who have served our country. Bring your friends and family for a day of fun and fitness. Together, we can make a difference for our veterans. See you at the starting line!

Will there be price changes as the event gets closer?

Yes, prices will increase 14 days before the race.

What time does the race start?

The race will start at 8 am sharp, there will be a few words said prior to the race starting by the Ruck 22 staff. The VFW honor guard will be posting the colors, followed by the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance.

How many different races are there?

Currently the First Capital Ruck 22 holds 3 types of races, a family friendly walk/run style 5k, a 22k (13.1 mile) Unweighted, and a 22k (13.1 mile) weighted. All participants will receive a race day medal for finishing either one of these races.

Will there be Medals or Trophies?

Yes, this year the First Capital Ruck 22 has made huge changes.!! We are making this race more official with a Start / Finish Line, Timers, Trackers, and Bibs. Everyone will receive a race medal once you cross the finish line.!
