Ruby Topaz, a progressive glam rock band, gained prominence primarily in the 80s and early 90s. They received various accolades during this period for their distinctive sound and the guitar work of Mark Bram. The band has a history in rock that stretches back nearly 40 years, with initial recordings by Bram. Their independent single "Why" in 1982 garnered both national and international success. They signed with Azra Records in 1985. In the 2000s, specifically 2002 and 2003, they gained a following at the Rhode Island School of Design. More recently, they released an album of new songs called "Rabbit Hole" in 2023 and an anniversary album in 2024 showcasing their work spanning decade
