Event description

Description

We have updated and revised our portfolio day based on community feedback!

We have found that the community is in need of 1:1 mentorship covering several topics such as:

  • Portfolio review

  • General Mentorship

  • Interview practice/feedback

  • Resume review/feedback

How to RSVP:

Each day there are slots available to RSVP, we ask that you rsvp for the whole hour and 10 minutes. Each slot is a commitment of 2 1:1 mentorships. Once we review your RSVP you will be notified by AIGA SF that you have been confirmed for the timeslot along with information on who your Design Mentee will be and what topic they want to discuss along with your Zoom Link for each session.

Where is the event?

Zoom! We are going virtual!

How does it work?

To make this virtual, each design 1:1 session is matched ahead of time with each pair given their unique zoom link. Each session slot you will receive a separate zoom login.

Each session time slot is 30 minutes long— 5-minute introduction with your attendee followed by a 25 minute 1:1 session.

Example: If you rsvp to the Monday, 04/27 10:00 - 11:05 slot

1st session starts at 10:00 am

2nd session starts at 10:35 am

Design Mentors will meet virtually with Design Mentees 1:1 to offer feedback, advice, and inspiration. Sessions should be of a constructive nature, with the intent to help the attendee develop his/her presentation and design skills.

Connecting with your Design Mentee

Each design mentor and mentee will receive an email from AIGA SF with their session link.

An AIGA SF member will be monitoring the meeting in case any logistic issues occur. If there’s a problem please email portfolio@aigasf.org as it will be monitored during the review to assist if needed. You will be given an email with all the info including who you are meeting with and the unique zoom link for the review session. If you are unable to commit to the rsvp we ask that you notify us 48 hours before your scheduled session.
