Royalty Samba presents: Samba and Brazilian Funk with Weskley Faustino!

Welcome to Royalty Samba's Brazilian Funk Workshops with Weskley Faustino! 🎶 Join us at Montgomery Blair High School (Dance Studio) for a weekend filled with rhythm and fun!

Based in California and born in Sao Paulo, Weskley Faustino is an award winning-passista with over 20 years of professional experience and collaborations with renowned artists such as Anitta, Ivete Sangalo, Ludmilla, Pericles and others. Weskley is coming to the DMV to facilitate the following workshops:

SATURDAY DECEMBER 13, 2025

Samba no Pé -3:00pm -4:15pm

Samba is a musical and dance genre with Afro-brazilian roots and is central to Brazilian culture and particularly to carnival celebrations. Samba no pé focuses on the solo dance carnival style with fast footwork and elegant posture.

Samba Malandro Style - 4:45pm - 6:00 pm

Samba malandro is a style of samba with playful and teathrical elements. It is centered in the figure of the malandro, a character from Brazilian culture known for charm, elegance and street smart confidence.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 14,2025

Brazilian Funk - 2:30-4:00 pm

Also known as Funk Carioca, Brazilian Funk is a high-energy music and dance genre. Originating in the streets of Rio de Janeiro in 1970, Brazilian Funk has a wide array of influences such as Miami bass, hip hop and Afro-Brazilian rhythms.
