About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Learn hands-on propagation skills for taking cuttings and getting them to root in the greenhouse. Rowan County Master Gardener Volunteers will show gardeners how to take cuttings. Each participant will get to take home a tray of cuttings after they have rooted. Cost is $25/person.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring plants from home to root?

Yes, but check first to make sure they will root. e-mail alalbert@ncsu.edu to ask.

Can my kids come?

Yes, as long as they are adequately supervised. That is fine if your kids want to help you with your trays. However, if they're going to root their tray of cuttings, please register them for the class, too.
