About this event

Join us after opening night on Saturday, October 18 from 2-4pm for a special round table talk bringing together two leading voices in Miami’s arts scene: Nuria Richards, Director of Development and Advisor of Strategy at Oolite Arts, and founder of Clandestina, a grassroots project that has supported over 300 artists; and Aurora Molina, celebrated fiber artist, co-founder of FAMA (Fiber Artists Miami Association), and founder of Play Studio Artelier. They will be joined by Melanie Prapopulos, founder and director of The CAMP Gallery, and Amy Arechavaleta, the gallery’s Head of Communications, to discuss the evolving role of fiber in contemporary art and the community networks shaping Miami’s cultural future.

Aurora Molina received her Associates of Arts in Visual Arts from Miami Dade College, a Bachelors in Fine Arts specializing in Mixed Media from Florida International University and Master Degree in Contemporary Art at the Universidad Europea de Madrid completed in 2009. She currently resides in Miami, Florida, where she works as a full time artist, represented since 2011 by Bernice Steinbaum Gallery. Using the tools of embroidery, sculpture-making, drawing, photography, and video, she uses the potential of fiber art to communicate ideas about social and political issues. ⁣With a commitment to Advanced Fiber Art in Miami, Molina is also a co-founder of FAMA, Fiber Artists-Miami Association a newly artist collaborative that builds community through textiles and weaves Miami together.

Nuria Richards joined Oolite Arts in 2025 as the Director of Development and Advisor of Strategy in, and is the founder of CLANDESTINA. A mother, arts leader, cultural producer, and advocate for the creative economy, she brings a wealth of experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and community engagement Nuria believes that international exchange is the baseline for the growth of a new art market.
