Rooting in Nature Forest Bathing: Summer Solstice & Mocktails

Join for a special Summer Solstice Forest Bathing experience to celebrate the longest day of the year. We’ll honor the light, abundance, and vitality of the season through mindful connection with nature and create a mandala using found materials.

🌲 Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the simple practice of taking in the forest atmosphere through the senses for health benefits.

🧘🏻‍♀️ Our time together includes gentle movement, meditation, opportunities to stop and connect with the natural world along the way, and concludes with a special mocktail where we can reflect and share our experiences in community.

What participants are saying...

"The entire experience was so grounding and peaceful. Brittany just brings a natural calm and comfort to everyone around her. Having this set time to slow down and reflect on my own life—growth and shortcomings, past and future—and to connect that reflection to the earth was meaningful and emotional." Alicia

Frequently asked questions

What is Forest Bathing or Forest Therapy?

Forest Bathing/Therapy is a practice that emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of spending time in nature. During a guided forest therapy walk, trained guides facilitate an immersive experience in nature, allowing participants to connect with their surroundings and them selves through their senses.

Why would I pay for a Forest Bathing/Therapy session? Can't I just go outside for free?

While going outside offers benefits, a Certified Forest Therapy Guide helps participants engage with nature mindfully & intentionally. They provide structure, tools, & emotional support to enhance relaxation, emotional release, & connection, amplifying healing effects through focused guidance.

What do I need to wear or bring?

A stool, chair, blanket, or pad to sit on (something you're comfortable carrying for the duration of the walk), long pants, jacket/rain jacket, socks, boots suitable for terrain, gloves/hat/sunglasses as needed, water, snacks - Optional: Backpack, a journal and pen

How far are we walking?

Each walk is typically 2.5 miles or under, unless otherwise listed.

Are walks held rain or shine?

In the event of extreme weather, such as heavy rain, snow, or frigid temperatures, the walk will be rescheduled and participants can apply their purchase to a future walk. Refunds can be requested through the event page. **Additional fees collected through Eventbrite cannot not be refunded

Why pay for a guided experience? The role of a Forest Therapy Guide is not only to help people physically experience the forest, but to help them engage with it in a deeply mindful and intentional way. They provide the structure, tools, and emotional support necessary for individuals to experience the therapeutic benefits of the forest, guiding them through a process of relaxation, emotional release, and connection. While spending time in nature can be healing on its own, a guide amplifies those benefits by helping participants tune into nature more fully and with purpose.
