About the Instructor
Vania is a RYT-200 yoga teacher with roots in the DMV with a deep reverence for the natural world. She began her yoga journey in 2008 through the original hot yoga sequence and has since expanded her practice to include Vinyasa, Hatha, breathwork, and mindfulness. Her teaching is grounded, inclusive, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to the healing power of movement and breath.
Trained in accessible yoga, including instruction for blind and visually impaired students, Vania leads with a calm, supportive presence and a strong sense of connection to land and community. She sees nature as both a refuge and a co-teacher, and she brings that awareness into every class—creating space for people to feel safe, empowered, and attuned to their surroundings. Vania is committed to creating healing spaces where people can breathe deeply, move freely, and be reminded of their interconnectedness with the planet and all living beings.
What you will be doing
Rooted & Radiant is a 60-minute outdoor yoga session designed to help participants ground their energy, quiet the mind, and connect with the natural beauty of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. This all-levels class blends breathwork, mindful movement, and restorative stillness to align the body and spirit with the rhythms of nature.
Drawing inspiration from the earth beneath us and the water that flows through the gardens, this practice invites participants to move intentionally and reconnect with their inner calm. With gentle transitions, thoughtful music, and a welcoming tone, the session encourages presence, ease, and reflection in one of D.C.’s most tranquil outdoor settings.
