Alopecia affects millions of women worldwide, often disrupting their sense of self, identity, and beauty standards. This exhibition aims to bring to light the emotional and psychological impact of hair loss, showcasing powerful visual narratives from women artists.
Join us in exploring the journey of resilience, empowerment, and transformation through diverse artistic perspectives. Witness the strength, transformation, and reclamation of self that follows the challenges of hair loss.
Experience deep, personal, and creative explorations of this condition, reflecting both the pain and challenges of hair loss, as well as the strength and transformation that often follows.
This exhibit is curated by VERSIDA. VERSIDA is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services to women with alopecia (the medical term for hair loss) encouraging them to live freely and fully without secrecy, silence, and stigma. The organization's mission is to empower and support women with alopecia by providing resources, community, and education. VERSIDA spreads awareness, fosters confidence, and creates safe spaces for women to connect, share experiences, and embrace their beauty, regardless of hair loss.
The exhibit will be on display August 12 - October 6.
