Eco-Stewardship Invasive Control Workday at Rogue River State Game Area

Join us for our volunteer workday, Saturday, November 8th for a day of environmental stewardship at Rogue River Game Area. This event will take place from 9:30AM-12 PM and we will be meeting at the Red Pine Bible Church (17195 Red Pine Dr, Kent City, MI 49330).

We will be focusing on the control and management of woody invasive species which threaten local plant communities and disrupt natural habitat. These aggressive species out compete native plants, reducing both biodiversity and residency in our ecosystems. By tackling woody invasive species, we can help restore and protect the natural beauty of the game area for generations to come.

Tools and protective equipment will be provided for the day, and expert guides will be on hand to walk us through the control process. Please bring your enthusiasm for nature and weather appropriate outerwear.

This is a great opportunity to preserve the local environment and make a meaningful impact on the land. Together, we can help protect and enhance wildlife habitat within Rogue River State Game Area.
