Join Jo and Hannah from AusEarthEd for this free workshop which explores rocks, rocks and more rocks.
Consider how to share the importance of rocks with students, explore the rock cycle and then get hands-on identifying rocks (and their unique and special history).
Suitable for teachers of Year 8 Earth and Space Science, Year 11/12 Earth & Environmental Science & Science in Practice and Year 4 Earth and Space Science (noting content will go beyond this level). Along with the wonderful laboratory technicians that support us all!
4pm - arrive, sign-in at front reception and make your way up to the seminar room at the top of the stairs (to the left, a banner will guide your way)
4:10pm - workshop begins and we quickly get hands-on with rocks
5:15pm - time for questions and for Jo and Hannah to help you ID any tricky rocks from your collection (please limit the rocks you bring along to 2-3 samples)
~5:30pm - workshop ends
