As a vocalist in the replicated 70's psychedelic rock band "One Tribe," Rob quickly picked up the guitar and bass guitar to accompany his vocals. After a couple of years playing with One Tribe, Rob added the Flute to his repertoire and now plays a variety of flutes ranging from Native American to bamboo to the concert flute. Over time, Rob became inspired by Reggae music, traditional African music, and various types of world music including Native American and East Indian music.
From 2001-2010 Rob founded and led world jam band "Buffalo Strange." The band has become known and appreciated for it's uplifting original music and a tendency to arouse audiences into a life-celebrating dance frenzy. The band's tours have included six international music festivals.
Today, Rob is residing in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and performing an astonishing 200 plus shows a year, mostly as a solo entertainer. By using a loop machine to layer acoustic guitar, bass, flute, harmonica, world percussion and more, the result sounds as if a full band is on stage! Rob's music will take you on a groovin' journey with it's combination of rock, reggae, world, and acoustic soul.
