ROAMER With Special Guests: Stephen Peter Rodgers & Ian Biggs

Roamer is a six-piece band that cut it's teeth right here on Fairfield Avenue. They bring their unique brand of new old fashioned American music to The Bijou for the first time. Fronted on acoustic guitar by singer-songwriter Tim Sather, the band members nimbly trade instruments and add layered harmonies to original compositions. Keys, horns, guitars, mandolin and the occasional accordion bring Tim’s hand-crafted songs to life, all backed by a rootsy and dynamic rhythm section. Infusing elements of Americana, Bluegrass, Rock and Reggae, their sound is hard to pin down but has been likened to that of The Band’s Music from Big Pink.Roamer is excited to share new songs from their fresh EP, The American Condition, a remarkable musical exploration of the complex themes that mark our shared journey. Roamer is thrilled to be supported by veterans Stephen Peter Rodgers and Ian Biggs. Join in this celebration of the vibrant Connecticut music scene in the intimate setting of one of the country’s oldest theatres.

Stephen Peter Rodgers

Stephen is a songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist. He is a local legend with a career spanning three decades. His impact on the growth and identity of the Connecticut music is wide and all encompassing.Stephen is owner of Tiny Bunker Recording Studio in Connecticut, specialising in producing, recording, and developing singer-songwriters in the Americana, Roots and Indie Rock genres. Roamer was fortunate to record, mix and master The American Condition with Stephen as a co-producer and are thrilled to have him join them on this special night.

Ian Biggs

Ian Biggs is a genre-defying singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from New Haven, CT, known for his raw, emotionally honest music that blends rock, folk, and pop. With over 2 million streams, his songs explore vulnerability, resilience, and connection through vivid storytelling and powerful vocals. Ian was mentored by Stephen early in his career and is a great friend of Roamer. We have long desired to join forces and are excited to have him join us for this celebration of local, original music.
