About this event
Join us for the first New England Neglected Tropical Diseases Consortium webinar. The Consortium is a collaboration between Boston University and Northeastern University based in Boston, Massachusetts. The goal of the Consortium is to bring together research, academics, and other professionals working on NTDs in the New England region so that they may share their experiences, collaborate on projects, and help disseminate their work. Our series begins with the NTD Roadmap to 2030:Vision and Implementation.
We will hear from Dr. Daniel Argaw Dagne (Unit Head, Department of Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases, WHO) who will discuss the new Roadmap to 2030. Next, Dr. Pauline Mwinzi (Technical Officer SCH & STH at ESPEN, WHO-AFRO) will speak about broader approaches to NTD control by ESPEN. Finally, Dr. Carol Karutu (Vice President of Programs at the END Fund) will speak about work by the END Fund and implementation and advocacy for the new Roadmap.
Each of our presenters will speak about the vision within their respective specializations and institutions and how they are all working towards the goals outlined in the NTD Roadmap 2030 plan.
