Restorative Justice & Classroom Instruction: Fostering Student Belonging

DESCRIPTION: Join us for an engaging professional development training designed for educators interested in creating more restorative, inclusive, and student-centered classrooms. This session explores the intersection of restorative justice principles and academic instruction, focusing on practical strategies for integrating circle practice into everyday teaching. In this interactive training, participants will:
- Reflect on the values and practices that cultivate a restorative classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators to share experiences and ideas
- Explore real examples of restorative circles connected to academic content
- Workshop and design a circle that can be incorporated into an upcoming lesson
Whether you are new to restorative practices or looking to deepen your integration of these tools, this session offers a supportive space to learn, connect and grow.
Who should attend
Grade 4-12 educators and instructional coaches. Tier 1 training recommended but not required.
This training will be facilitated in a virtual-circle Zoom meeting format. Participants will receive a Zoom meeting link and training materials a few days prior to the training.
