What is River Writing Group?
The River Writing Group is a welcoming space for writers of all backgrounds to gather and explore their inner voice through the practice of intuitive, reflective writing. Guided by host Kyle Jensen, this group encourages a flow-state experience—where thoughts move freely, like water, onto the page. Whether you’re working through a creative block, building a daily writing habit, or simply seeking a new form of self-care, this group offers meaningful support and inspiration.
The gathering includes time for solo writing, optional sharing, and gentle prompts to get the current flowing. Occasional field trips and creative exercises help keep things fresh and fun for returning members. Some materials provide but please plan at least to bring a writing utensil if not both a journal and a pen!
Why join?
Because writing heals. Because clarity often begins with expression. And because we believe that community and creativity go hand-in-hand. This group is designed to cultivate connection—both inward and outward.
About the Space – The Karma House
The Karma House is a nonprofit kava bar and conscious community space located in Lakewood, Colorado. It’s a hub for healing, creativity, and connection—home to a wide range of events including live music, meditation, art groups, recovery circles, workshops, and more.
What is a kava bar?
Kava bars serve drinks made from the root of the kava plant, a traditional beverage from the South Pacific known for its calming, grounding, and anxiety-reducing properties. Kava has been used ceremonially and socially for centuries to promote connection and relaxation—without the effects of alcohol. At The Karma House, we serve kava, herbal teas, and other non-alcoholic elixirs in a setting designed to nourish the soul.
Come early or stay late to sip a shell of kava, enjoy the cozy vibe, and meet like-minded folks. The Karma House is all about community care—and you’re invited.
