Overview

WSNA and NSO will host a live webinar with Jennifer Flynn on December 2 at 11 AM PST to discuss NSO’s recent nurse liability claim report.

In a litigious and ever-shifting healthcare landscape, registered nurses face potential liability in their everyday work. This interactive session will use case studies and claim data from NSO and CNA’s updated nurse liability claim report to provide registered nurses with immediately implementable practices that they can use to help protect themselves against allegations of malpractice or unprofessionalism. Through the experiences of their peers, nurses can gain valuable tools to improve their patient safety practices and reduce their liability exposure.

Jennifer Flynn, CPHRM, serves as the Vice President of Risk Management for the Nurses Service Organization (NSO) within Aon’s Affinity Insurance Services, Inc., Healthcare Division. With over 21 years of experience in the healthcare insurance industry, she specializes in risk management and is committed to educating nurses and healthcare professionals about professional liability risks.

Jennifer provides strategies to mitigate these risks by promoting patient safety principles and supporting the development of quality management programs. A frequent national speaker on healthcare risk and liability, she is also a published author on a variety of risk management topics.

She holds the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) designation and is a licensed Property & Casualty insurance agent. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
