Overview

A series to review the risk and protective factors models that influence addiction and new ways to prevent high risk misuse of substances.

As the Ottawa Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition begins it's 6th strategic planning process, the reductions in youth substance use and the changes in culture and research require new strategies for sustaining our impact. New research highlights the need to build protective factors and the importance of models that focus on reducing risk and increasing postive experiences. Join OSAP leadership as they provide a four session series on the various models available, what the research is saying and for some background information that will support strategic planning.

Community members not involved in OSAP Strategic Planning, but interested in working with kids and families will also find these sessions beneficial.

Each session will be 50 minutes and will be timed to be completed over the lunch hour.
