Why do we pay to see the poets?

Because we believe in paying the poets to perform. There are two ticket prices - if you can, please pay £10 - otherwise feel free to pay £5. Please note that the workshop is a one-off in January and costs £30 but this price includes entry to the evening readings later the same day in Acomb.

Is there parking nearby rise @ bluebird?

Yes - many of the streets in Acomb are permit free.

Is rise @ bluebird wheelchair accessible?

Yes - we are on the ground floor and there is an accessible toilet.

Is the workshop a separate event?

Yes, the workshop takes place at Friargate Theatre, York at 3.30pm-5.30pm and costs £30. But this price includes entry to the later evening readings. There are only 16 tickets available for the workshop - so if you'd like one, please don't delay. All you need to bring is a pen and paper.
