Description

Research shows that by 2030, up to 50% of workers in Sonoma County will be in the independent category*, which includes freelancers, consultants and gig workers. Danielle Stroble, of Keller Street Cowork says this worker segment is, “showing an increased presence in the county and in our workspace already, and support and planning is needed for them. We felt it was timely to address the topic in an open conversation called “Rise of the Indie Professional.

Stroble, who leads Keller Street CoWork, Sonoma County’s largest coworking space based in Petaluma, is hosting this conversation on Thursday, March 28 at 4pm. Local freelancers, solopreneurs and those interested in taking a leap in their career, are invited to to share their experiences and questions with their peers and learn from the experts, including Ethan Brown from the Sonoma Economic Development Board and Karen Hart the editor of North Bay Biz magazine.

Many in today’s job force want the freedom of working on their own terms and they are looking for the tools to get started. They are deciding whether independent work or freelancing is the right fit, how to make the leap successfully, and what are some of the challenges that might be faced along the way.

These and more hot topics will be covered in the “Rise of the Indie Professional”. Following the conversation all attendees are invited to enjoy a Networking Mixer at 5pm with the rest of the Keller Street CoWork members, to mingle and meet with like-minded business owners in the area. Attendees can also view the brand new KSCW enterprise work solutions that were recently added to the space.

This event is free, but book early as seating capacity is limited.
