Rich With Love: A Mini-Documentary and Panel Discussion

On Friday, December 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bowie Playhouse, the City of Bowie, in partnership with the Bowie State University/University of Maryland Social Justice Alliance, invites you to a screening of Rich With Love, a moving mini-documentary honoring the life and legacy of 1LT Richard W. Collins III, a Bowie State University ROTC graduate who was tragically killed in a racially motivated hate crime on the University of Maryland campus in 2017, just three days before his college graduation.

Following the film, a panel discussion will reflect on 1LT Collins' lasting impact and the ongoing pursuit of justice, equity, and inclusion in Maryland and beyond.

1LT Collins’ tragic death sparked statewide conversations on racial justice and campus safety. His legacy helped strengthen Maryland’s hate crime laws and inspired the creation of the BSU–UMD Social Justice Alliance to promote equity and reconciliation.

This event is free and open to all. Reserve your seat today to be a voice in this incredibly important discussion.
