Come join us at the River Bend Nature Center for a day of fun and appreciation for all the hard work early childhood providers do! This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with other providers, enjoy nature, and relax in a beautiful setting. Let's celebrate all the love and care you put into your work every day. Frequently asked questions

Where do I go?

Drive to the nature center at 1000 Rustad Rd, Faribault, MN 55021. You will travel a mile down Rustad Rd. until it ends, then park in the paved parking lot. Walk into the building and you'll be directed to the group.

Do I need any special outdoor gear to go on the naturalist walk?

Short answer, no! We do recommend shoes that you feel comfortable walking off pavement with, but the group will always be on trails at River Bend. And dress for the weather, if it's hot we recommend sunscreen, if it's raining, a raincoat. The Naturalist can tailor the walk to the group.

I can't walk far/I use a wheelchair, can I still go on the naturalist walk?

Yes! River Bend has a Track chair, an electric wheelchair with tracks instead of wheels, which makes traveling off pavement a breeze. It'll be reserved for your group, just let the naturalist know when you arrive that you'll need to use it.
