SESSION 1: Maguindanao Music & Silong sa Ganding | October 5 | 1:30-4:00 PM
Discover the kulintang ensemble’s rhythmic patterns and improvisational beauty. Dance the Silong sa Ganding—movements as graceful as swaying coconut fronds, accompanied by the powerful gandingan drums.
SESSION 2: Meranaw Music & Fan Dance | November 2 | 1:30-4:00 PM
Experience the refined artistry of Meranaw kulintang and master the elegant fan dance. Learn expressive gestures with traditional apir (fans) that embody ideals of beauty, nobility, and precision.
SESSION 3: Sama-Badjao Music & Igal Dance | November 30 | 1:30-4:00 PM
Immerse yourself in seafaring traditions. Explore percussive instruments and flowing Igal movements that echo the rhythms of the sea—dance as ritual, resilience, and identity.
