Rhode Island's 8th Annual Perinatal Substance Use Conference
Overview
This conference will be held in person and live-streamed. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and the New England Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) invite you to join us at the eighth annual Rhode Island Perinatal Substance Use Conference. This event brings together local and national thought leaders who work at the intersection of maternal and child health, behavioral health, and substance use.
Out of the approximately 10,000 babies born annually in Rhode Island, about one in 20 experience prenatal exposure to alcohol, cannabis, illicit stimulants, and/or opioids. This year’s call-to-action, Committing to Coordinated, Compassionate, and Courageous Care, reflects not only Rhode Island's accomplishments, but what is yet to be achieved in creating a comprehensive, integrated, and affirming environment of care for pregnant people and families affected by perinatal substance use.
