Description

This combination workshop walks one through resume creation from start to finish. The objectives of both workshops are listed below.

Resume Mapping is designed to walk job seekers through reflecting on their employment history to identify skill sets and match them with employer needs to write a resume for the job they want.

Reflecting on employment history

Identify skills (including transferable skills)

Analyzing job descriptions

Strategizing resume content

Creating a Resume Using Templates is a step-by-step walk through of the process of creating a resume using a Resume Template.

Explanation between the different Resume Types:

· Functional Resume

· Combination Resume

· Academic Resume

· Master Resume

· Chronological Resume

- Demonstration of how to create a resume using a Template

- Do's and Don'ts Tips on creating your resume

The Wichita Workforce Center is located at 2021 N. Amidon, Suite 1100 in the New Leaf Plaza. Parking is free in the lot in front of the building.

Prior to the session you must go to www.KANSASWORKS.com and register for a free job seeker account. Or please visit your local workforce center for assistance. If you do not register on KANSASWORKS.com 1 day in advance you will not be allowed to complete the workshop.

Please report to the Front Desk and check in no later than 5 minutes before the start time listed. No one will be admitted late to the workshop.
