About this event
Peace! Thank you for being here! <3 This offering blends the healing power of sound with the intentionality of restorative practices in honor of collective healing. Restore creates sacred space for emotional understanding, deeper listening, and meaningful community connection.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We begin with gentle grounding and co-creating sacred agreements, inviting everyone into presence and safety. Then, you will be led through a guided sound journey designed to calm and care for your nervous system, release stored tension, and prepare the mind, body, and spirit for honest, heart-centered conversation.
Following this, we transition into a restorative circle process rooted in Indigenous talking circle traditions, honoring every voice, inviting reflection, and fostering connection. Sitting together in a circle of no more than 11 participants, we will engage with a talking piece, guided reflection prompts, and a community altar, all held by your circle guide. Opening and closing rituals frame the experience, emphasizing interconnectedness and belonging.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Ideal for folx and groups navigating tension or transition, or anyone seeking to reconnect through presence and mindful listening. Whether healing from grief, processing conflict, or simply longing for a deeper sense of belonging in uncertain times, this space supports your journey.
WHAT TO BRING
- Something comfortable to sit or lie on (yoga mat, cushion, or blanket)
- Water to stay hydrated
- A journal or paper and writing utensil for reflection
- A small personal or cultural item to contribute to our centerpiece/community altar (optional)
- Eye mask, essential oils, or any calming or grounding tools you prefer.
- Most importantly, bring your full self. Your presence matters here!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This launch event celebrates 3 years of my journey as a self-employed therapist, holistic wellness guide, and sound journey practitioner! Light snacks will be provided to nourish your body as you nourish your spirit!
💜 This offering is rooted in community care, and I deeply believe that wellness and healing spaces should be accessible. A limited number of "community care" tickets are available to ensure no one is turned away due to lack of funds. If those fill up and you’d still like to attend, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to hold space for you. If you’re in a position to give more, you’re welcome to sponsor a spot for someone else or make a general donation to help cover snacks and materials. Every offering supports me in continuing to serve in this way!
ABOUT YOUR GUIDE
LA Adkins (she/her), also known as The Holistic Wellness Coach + Guide, is a licensed therapist and subject matter expert in mental health and wellness. She is certified and trained as both a Mindfulness Meditation Guide and Sound Journey Practitioner, and she is the Founding Owner of Reconnect With You, PLLC, a holistic wellness brand specializing in inspiring and nurturing the inner journey.
In addition to her work in coaching, sound therapy, public speaking, and candle-making, all focused on holistic wellness, LA brings years of experience leading interpersonal process groups, mindfulness workshops, identity-based affinity groups, restorative practice circles, and social skills groups for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has been formally trained in the Circle Process and is deeply committed to holding space that fosters emotional safety, depth, and meaningful connection.
Restore is a culmination of two modalities that have brought her profound healing and fulfillment: restorative practices and sound therapy. She is ready to lead this offering not only because of her professional training, but because of her personal journey, one marked by authenticity, vulnerability, and the kind of inner work that allows her to hold space with presence, care, and an open heart.
LA is also the author of a self-exploration gratitude journal and has delivered a TEDx Talk. Her work and presence are guided by her core values: accountability, authenticity, autonomy, integrity, justice, and transparency. As a champion of solitude, she believes our relationships with others reflect the depth of our relationship with ourselves.
Frequently asked questions
Enter park on Hollywood Blvd. There's a hill to drive up to find us. As you go up the hill, keep straight at first intersection (rather than going left). You'll see a flight of stairs on the left and the Hollywood sign to your right. Park there and meet us in the grassy area to the left of parking.
Sound therapy is a form of meditation and is a healing and wellness practice during which the music and sounds from singing bowls and other musical instruments are used to calm the nervous system, help you deepen your connection with your mind and body and remove energetic blockages.
There are two lots with free parking available and nearby street parking. There is a parking lot at the bottom, which you will see on your left upon entering the park. There is also a lot closer to where the group will be once you drive or walk up the hill.
The experience will begin promptly at 1pm. You are encouraged to arrive as early as 12:45pm to park, grab a spot, grab some nourishing refreshments and snacks, and get settled in before we begin.
We do not offer or allow refunds, but you do have the option to transfer your registration to another individual, if needed. If you would like to use this option, please inform the organizer.
Bring whatever helps you feel grounded and comfortable. I recommend a yoga mat or blanket to sit or lie on, water to stay hydrated, and a journal with a pen. You’re also welcome to bring something small for the community altar, such as a personal, cultural, or symbolic item that feels meaningful.
Whatever feels cozy, relaxed, and like you. Layers are a good idea in case of temperature shifts. This is a space where you can show up as you are. No need to dress up unless that makes you feel more yourself. Keep in mind that we will take a group picture at the end, which is optional.
Absolutely! You don’t need any experience to participate. Just an open heart and a willingness to be present. I’ll guide us through everything step by step, including the sound journey and all elements of the circle process.
You’ll always be invited but never required. This is a space of choice and consent. You’re welcome to pass during any round of sharing. Being there, listening, and witnessing is just as powerful.
The space is wheelchair accessible, with both port-a-potties and restrooms on site. If you have any specific access needs (mobility, sensory, etc.), feel free to reach out ahead of time so I can support you in feeling comfortable and cared for.
Yes! I bring both clinical experience as a licensed therapist and a trauma-informed lens to every space I hold. Restore is intentionally designed to center emotional safety, personal agency, and nervous system care.
Because of the sacred nature of this experience, I ask that you plan to stay for the full two hours as this honors our shared commitment. Arriving late or leaving early can disrupt the flow and potentially impact the emotional safety of the space. Every voice and presence matters, including yours.
