Join us for a soothing and immersive sound bath experience - a journey of rest, release and inner renewal. Using crystal singing bowls, gongs and other therapeutic instruments, alongside meditation techniques, this session is designed to gently guide you into a deep state of relaxation, balance and energetic alignment. The sound bath is ideal for anyone looking to improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, gain a greater sense of clarity and balance, or simply hoping to slow down and rest.
Whether you're completely new to sound healing or returning to deepen your practice, this session offers a space for quiet reflection, inviting you to release what's been and root into what's to come, softening into stillness and reconnecting with your intentions for the month ahead. Expect a calming and welcoming space where you can simply rest and receive.
The sound bath will last approximately two hours, with time for gentle arrival and grounding before and after. We'll close the session with optional herbal tea, biscuits and time to connect in a relaxed and open space - or simply take a moment for yourself before re-entering the world.
What to Bring
To get the most from your experience, please bring:
- A yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on
- A blanket, pillow and extra layers for comfort
- Water to stay hydrated
- Anything else that helps you to feel cosy, safe and grounded
Location and Arrival Information
The venue is located in Barmoor, Ryton. The door to enter is tucked around the side of the street (just next to a public bench) and is a shared entrance with the 'Aiki Martial Arts and Fitness Studio'.
There is a large, free car park just across the road, next to the field with the red wheel, in front of Ryton Rugby Club. The pedestrian crossing safely links the carpark to the building.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to find your space and settle in comfortably.
Accessibility Note
Please note that the venue is located on the first floor and is only accessible via a flight of stairs. We sincerely regret that it is not currently wheelchair accessible. However, we are actively working on offering future sessions in a fully accessible space and deeply appreciate your understanding in the meantime.
If you have specific access needs - for example, if lying down for an extended period is difficult or if you require adjustments to help you feel comfortable - please don't hesitate to reach out ahead of time. We'll do our best to support you and create a space that works for you.
Contraindications
While sound therapy is generally a safe practice, it may not be suitable for everyone in every circumstance. We ask that pregnant individuals (especially those in their first trimester of pregnancy), those with epilepsy or a history of seizures, those with fitted pacemakers or metal implants, and those with any other serious medical and/or mental health conditions do not attend. If you wish to attend and have any of these conditions, we advise you to speak to a medical professional prior to participating. If you're unsure whether this event is suitable for you, please feel free to reach out in advance.
