Overview

Kindergarteners to second graders come learn about responsible decision-making.

In this 4-week psychoeducation group, kindergarteners to second graders will explore their personal values, understand empathy and the differences between passive, assertive, and aggressive communication, and learn a 7-step process to solve problems through activities and discussion with the facilitator and their peers. This group will occur on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays of March 2026 at 10:00a-10:45a.

Consent Form

Caregivers must complete the consent form at least 24 hours prior to the first session of the group. Please review the consent form before you register. We will not issue refunds if you register and then decide not to sign the consent form.

Extra Stuff

This is a closed group. This is to ensure the group of participants is the same for the full 4 weeks. If your child does not attend the first session, you will need to register for another appropriate group. We set the stage for the group during the first session, so it is mandatory for your child to attend the first session.

The fee is non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel before the group begins, you can request a credit for another appropriate group.

The fee is for your child's spot in the group. You cannot pay per session, nor are you reimbursed if your child misses a session. The first session is mandatory to participate in the group; however, if your child needs to miss session 2 or session 3, they can return for the next session.

There is a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 6 participants per group. If we do not have 2 participants registered 48 hours before the start of the group, that group will be cancelled and the participant will automatically receive a spot in the next group appropriate for them.

Participants must attend this responsible decision-making group before attending the relationship skills group.

One caregiver is welcome to be in the room with their child during the group to help them stay on task or know what they are learning; however, caregivers are not permitted to participate.

You must have access to Zoom including microphone and camera. Participants must have their camera on; however, they may use an avatar. They may also use a pseudonym.

ELIE Circle reserves the right to remove any participant from a session who is not abiding by the established guidelines and/or who is creating an unsafe learning environment for other participants and/or facilitators. Participants will not be allowed to return to the group until they have a 15-minute meeting with the facilitator. If a participant is removed from 2 sessions, they will not be allowed to return for any remaining sessions. Participants removed for disrupting the learning environment will not be issued a refund.
