Responsible AI Forum 2025 | Demo Day

By Center for Responsible AI

Overview

A full-day event at the Champalimaud Foundation Auditorium on building AI for better — keynotes, demos, and debates on Responsible AI.

The Responsible AI Forum 2025, organized by the Center for Responsible AI, returns to the Champalimaud Foundation on November 25 for a full-day program dedicated to Building AI for Better — exploring how technology, science, and ethics can come together to shape a more responsible future for Artificial Intelligence.

This year’s edition marks an important moment in the Center’s journey — the last Forum before the conclusion of its Mobilizing Agenda under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, and the first since its transformation into an independent non-profit organization in May 2025.

The Forum will bring together national and international thought leaders from AI, neuroscience, and digital transformation for a day of keynotes, debates, and live demonstrations of Responsible AI products developed by the Center’s startups and research centers.

Highlights include:

  • Live demos from the consortium’s startups, highlighting their products and the real-world impact they are already making across sectors
  • A dialogue on “Natural vs Artificial Intelligence” with António Damásio (University of Southern California) and Fernando Pereira (Google DeepMind)
  • Keynotes and panels by Ramayya Krishnan (Carnegie Mellon University), Francisco Pereira (National Institute of Mental Health, United States), and Pedro Bizarro (Feedzai), along with other leading voices from academia, industry, and public policy shaping the future of Responsible AI
  • The announcement of the SPARK competition winners and an exhibition of selected posters showcasing emerging talent in Responsible AI

The event is free, but registration is mandatory. Capacity is limited, and seating will be first come, first served on the day — we recommend arriving early to guarantee entry.

Two coffee breaks included
🍽️ Optional lunch ticket (€15) available during registration
