Dr Ned Redmore will be talking about how day-services understand and respond to the views and experiences of people with a diagnosis of:


  • autism and severe/profound learning disability.
  • autism and complex support needs.
  • severe/profound learning disability (but not autism).


This will include discussion on how this group communicate and express their views in day-to-day life, how day-services and their staff currently respond to such views, and ways day-services might better include this group in support and service development. The talk will be followed by a question and answer session.


Ned is a research fellow at the Open University, with research interests in autism, learning disability, support services and their cultures and inclusive/participatory approaches.
