About this event
Join us for Resonant Worlds Part Two: Rewoven — an evening that intertwines stories, style, and spirit across the African Diaspora.
Come exchange more than just garments. Trade stories, Afrocentric clothing, ideas, and dreams rooted in Afrofuturism — all in the spirit of a Friendsgiving-inspired gathering honoring African heritage and imagination.
This event continues the conversation begun with Resonant Worlds Part One: Exploring the Intersection of Afrofuturism, Theater, African Architecture & Design, featuring snippets from the documentaries A Song for Adaeze and CPD Africa. Together, we’ll explore storytelling and how clothing, art, and culture become powerful vessels for our narratives.
Stay for our clothing swap and small chops (bites) social after the main program — a chance to connect, share, and celebrate in true communal fashion.

About A Song for Adaeze
A Song for Adaeze is an Afro-Futuristic musical that weaves together folklore, sci-fi, and the vibrant spirit of the African Diaspora. It follows Adaeze, a young royal, on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening. When she meets a mysterious figure from another dimension, she's challenged to defy expectations, embrace her identity, and explore the balance between tradition and progress.
