Resisting Erasure: Lino Cutting and Printing Workshop
Age group- 16-25
Date: 11th October 2025, 1pm- 3pm
Step into the world of lino printing — a craft that has long been used not only for art, but also as a powerful form of resistance and activism. From posters of protest to prints that gave voice to communities, lino printing has been a medium of bold self-expression against oppression.
In this workshop with The Crafts Collective, you’ll experience lino printing as both a creative skill and a chance to connect with its history of resilience. Whether you want to make striking printed cards or design fabric for a cushion cover, you’ll learn to:
- Plan and sketch your lino design
- Carve and cut with safe, guided techniques
- Print your own artwork onto fabric or paper
You’ll leave with your own printed piece to keep or share, plus the inspiration to continue lino printing as a way of storytelling, celebration, or change.
