Do I need to be a designer to attend?

Accepted Answer

We believe that anyone can use design to solve problems that matter, regardless of their background. You don't have to be a professional designer to attend. A general familiarity with design processes and methods may be helpful, but not required.

Question 2

What if I want to change my ticket type (e.g., move from observer to real-time participant)?

Accepted Answer

You should be able to change your ticket type after registering by going to the Tickets page in your Eventbrite account, selecting your order, and clicking Change ticket. We'll close the option to change tickets 48 hours before the gathering begins.

Question 3

What are the expectations for participating as a co-designer?

Accepted Answer

Co-designers will support the convener in thoughtful design, preparation, facilitation, care and follow-up through asynchronous & synchronous collaboration leading up the event. We expect a minimum contribution of 3-4 hours, not including the gathering itself. A small honorarium will be offered.

Are refunds available?

Accepted Answer

Based on the nature of the gathering and the scale of preparation leading up to it, we are not able to offer refunds. Please reach out to the convener Sandra Camacho at sandra@designchangemakers.com with any concerns.

Will a recording be made available?

Accepted Answer

A recording will be sent to all registrants only if all attendees consent to it.
