Rescuing and Adopting: A Challenge to the Permissibility of Procreation
Overview
This event is open to all UCL staff and students - not just those in the philosophy department!
Dr. Cavaliere will discuss procreative ethics. In particular, she will consider whether the challenge from adoption - a duty to help already existing children - undermines the moral permissibility of procreation.
This event will consist of a 45-minute lecture, followed by a short break, then a one-hour Q/A session. A quick heads up: the lecture will be recorded to allow those who cannot attend an opportunity to view it, if they so wish. Hopefully, refreshments should be provided aswell. See you on the 27th November for this insightful lecture!
P.S.: For any accessibility requirements, please feel free to email us at ucl.map.committee@gmail.com so we can make appropriate arrangements to support your participation! If you cannot attend and want to, please also email us so we can see about getting the edited recording to you, when we can.
Since drinks will be provided for the reception, please also email us at ucl.map.committee@gmail.com ASAP if there are any allergies or dietary needs.
