About this event

Join expert paddler Jim Pfiffer for our RESCHEDULED River Fest kick off paddle, with a guided educational paddle of the Chemung River. As we paddle from Bottcher's Landing Boat Launch in Big Flats, NY, to Fitch's Bridge Boat Launch in Elmira, we'll learn about the Elmira Civil War Camp along the way for an educational component to our paddle.

The price includes the tour and the kayak rental (if you need one, we have a limited number of kayaks available). We will meet at Fitch's Bridge Boat Launch at 9AM to leave our vehicles, then we'll shuttle paddlers to Bottcher's Landing to go over river safety guidelines and launch our watercraft.

Please dress for the weather and wear water shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a life jacket if you have one (life jackets will be required we will have life jackets available if you don't have one). A water bottle and snacks are also recommended.
