Center for Art Law and NYU Law's Art Law Society invites you to a lecture with renowned journalist, Eileen Kinsella, examining art market fraud stories with focus on the career of art dealer Inigo Philbrick.

Drawing on her extensive experience covering art fraud, Eileen will share how she uncovers stories in the field and the investigative tactics she uses to pursue her leads. She will examine Inigo Philbrick's rise in the contemporary art market, the legal issues surrounding his business practices, and the fallout from his actions. Participants will learn about the hundreds of millions in alleged fraud, falsified contracts, and other deceptive practices that brought his career to an end. The discussion will also explore the broader implications for transparency, trust, and accountability in the art market.

About the Speaker

Eileen Kinsella is a Senior Market Reporter at Artnet News. She prepared and narrated a series of podcast episodes about Philbrick's career in the art market trade and fraud for Art Market Infamy.
