Whether you are an individual, family or group of friends book to join a group guided tour of the Renew Hub to explore how items donated at recycling centres across Greater Manchester get repaired and refurbished before being sold to raise money for good causes.

Tours are led by one of our Education Officers and include the opportunity to go behind the scenes to see repair and reuse experts at work, understand the donations cycle and how the Renew Hub fits into a wider approach to waste and recycling in Greater Manchester. From bikes to furniture, electricals to upholstery, here’s your opportunity to see how we’re doing things differently.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TWO HOUR TOUR AND SESSION NOT A DROP IN EVENT

About the Venue
The Renew Hub is the centre of Renew, an ambitious and unique project which aims to create value from waste to benefit Greater Manchester. It’s a joint initiative between R4GM & SUEZ UK. We take items donated at recycling centres across Greater Manchester, then we repair and renew them at our Renew Hub, ready to be resold to a new home.
Money raised by the sales supports local communities through Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity and Recycle for Greater Manchester Community Fund.

Clothing
As this is an industrial site, legs must also be covered preferably by trousers but leggings or similar are acceptable.
Good strong sensible shoes/walking boots/trainers are recommended.
There are parts of the full tour that require you to wear steel toe capped safety shoes. If you do not have them, we have some that can be borrowed free of charge.
Please note the hub can get very cold in the winter months so please dress warmly.
High Visibility vest and hearing equipment will be provided as necessary.
Anyone unsuitably dressed will not be allowed on the site tour.
